More about this wine
Szõke Mátyás is a winery in Hungary's second largest winemaking region- Mátra. Mátyás Szõke (who upholds a strict "no spitting" policy in his tasting rooms) makes wines with his son Zoltan. It's unclear whether the wines or the names of the people making the wines are better, but it is clear that both are fantastic.

Mátyás and Zoltan are considered to be some of the best wine makers in the region, and you'll soon see why. The Irsai Oliver grape is a cross between Gewürztraminer and Muscat Ottonel. The wine is exotic, fruit-filled and minerally as a dirt fight. Yet, this juice manages to keep its balance, like a Hungarian Youtube sensation skiing behind a minivan, which is a good thing.
