Absolutely delicious in every way.
Better than it has to be!

Very acceptable on the palate. Held its taste for two days. I would give it a B or B+ rating
Philip
a little sweet, but nice.
Kathy

So drinkable, very versatile

Sweet and a little watery. Probably ok for Sangria. I like, but hubby’s not a fan. Can buy elsewhere for only $9.
Irene
I like this one. Taste compares to more expensive bottles.
Daniel
Good taste but high acidity...would do 3.5 glasses
Rachel
smooth blend
LINDA
Very jammy
Kelsey
Super jammy but black pepper finish. Black berry. Black currant. Not too overwhelming but not a wallflower either. Versatile. Let it breathe a bit and it relaxes and opens up. I'll buy this one again and others from Red Heads. Great find.
Kevin
Loved the twist top. The taste was crisp, light and very easy to drink.
Darlene
Smooth red wine but a little too sweet for my taste

This wine is probably a great starter for folks who want to like red wine, but aren't sold yet. It reminds me a bit of juice. It does not have a lot of body. The flavor is okay. It is drinkable, but I definitely would not recommend this to someone who likes and enjoys red wine.
Nicole
Enjoyed it. nice non-fussy red wine.
Ivy
A total jam wine - and it was awesome. Great by itself and great as a red sangria, so long as you know what you are getting yourself into.

Nothing special. A bit annoyed that the label was so gimmicky with puns that I had to come to WA just to read about the wine.
Troy
I was pleasantly surprised by this wine; I have found most Australian wines to be more soft and delicate than I prefer. This one has a strong taste to it which appeals to me.
Mike
fun, fruity and light. A little bit of earthy bite
Maddie
mild taste
Melinda
Nice
Janel
Good boy
Ron
Overly sweet and syrupy. Age can only help this bottle.
Joshua
Perfect with BBQ off the grill

For much of the 1990s and early 2000s, the American wine market was flooded with cheap, overly jammy and oaky wines from Australia. Our story about this wine tragedy, Wine and a Wallaby, is a great read to get you caught up on what Aussie wine used to be like. But now fast forward into the future to sip on some of the new wave of Aussie wine that we're lucky to have Stateside.
Yard Dog Red Blend is taking some of the best Bordeaux varietals for a blend that can stand up to any wine, anywhere. This red is all about fruit power like black currant and blackberries. The juice has the perfect ease of drinkability, with just a subtle touch of oak maturation that adds to the flavors, compared to past Aussie wines that hit you over the head like an oak bomb. It's juicy and gulp-able with a dash of complexity.
