This was decent. I wouldn’t be made if I’d picked this up or brought it some where. Wouldn’t be upset if I had it again. But I wasn’t wow’d by it
Devon
Bright, crisp, and very tropical-- like an upgraded pinot grigio
Haley
I fell in love with this blend. Honestly, it’s why I signed up for WA. Lots of body and complexity for a white. White fruit, stone, floral... easy on its own or with chicken, turkey and vegetarian dishes.

Not a bad white blend. Nothing super special about this other than the label, which is fun. I do like the size of the bottle though.

This is a lovely wine for warm weather sipping. Off-dry, lush and interestingly complex with notes of honeysuckle and melon. Nice crisp finish; nicely balanced. The nose is faintly redolent of boxwood, which is oddly pleasing to me and also reminds me of a lovely Garganega I enjoyed years ago. This wine will be perfect with cheese and fruit boards and I am looking forward to trying it with honeydew and cantaloupe wrapped in prosciutto. Cold shrimp with mango salsa as well as any fruited chicken salad would also be lovely as an accompaniment. The label art is a big plus because, you know, I've been abducted too ;)

And now for something completely different... please meet the creation that appears to be out of this world from one of Slovenia's top winemakers, Peter Gönc: 2019 Grape Abduction White! Peter is a young gun just making a name for himself, but his pedigree is four generations of winemakers, and the Grape Abduction line of wines shows off some serious winemaking chops!
The juice is a blend of Pinot Blanc and Yellow Muscat grown on a single vineyard in Štajerska-Slovenia (the Podravje region). The grapes thrive in the harsh environment of the rocky hills in Slovenia. Sometimes Pinot Blanc gets knocked for not being too exciting of a grape, but in its youth, the grape brings a lush roundness of flavor to your glass, and when paired with a sidekick this party can really get started! For Gönc, that sidekick is Yellow Muscat, which is very fun and fresh with tropical, crisp notes of lychee. This grape duo is like liquifying fresh white flowers in a perfect meadow and sipping it while the sun sets. See more from winemaker Peter Gönc below.
