BREANNA
I hate to give this such a low rating, I think the bottle was corked or the wine had a vinegar aroma and taste...

Mencia is the newest cool-kid hipster wine grape that Brooklyn somms are raving about, but don't worry... you can enjoy this lighter and more delicate vino without any snobbery or jeans that are 3 sizes too small. These little flavor gems of grapes hail from Bierzo, Spain, which is in the northern part of Spain's Castilla & Leon wine region. The winery is dubbed Bodegas Estefania and is made up of 40 hectares of vineyards that are 100+ years old. The property is a spectacular natural biosphere, with every type of bird, as well as rabbits and wild boar roaming freely making for an amazing place to grow grapes without a bunch of chemicals. The ruby-red juice is dangerously easy to drink with aromas of fresh-picked strawberries, raspberries, and cherries. The mouthfeel is smooth and balanced with a freshness characteristic that we can't get enough of.
