The zinfandel in this red blend stands out with a peppery sweet, full-bodied flavor. One of the better blends from Wine Awesomeness.

Tasty and jammy. Definitely my bias for reds

Napa and Sonoma may be California’s claims to fame, but there’s a whole state of wine just waiting to be discovered. With over 480,000 acres under vine, supplying nearly 90 percent of America’s wine production, there’s much more to the Golden State. Meet Paso Robles, CA, home of winemaker Andrew Jones. Jones spends his days as a vine nursery field man, planning and planting vineyards for farmers, and is sometimes offered small lots of their best fruit on the side. Having stood in just about every vineyard on the Central Coast, he has a keen eye for diamonds in the rough: sites that are unknown or under appreciated, but hold enormous untapped potential. We're lucky enough to get our hands on his 2018 Tin City Red Blend. It's a classic, fruit forward, and juicy California red wine blend of Zinfandel, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose is like the greatest hits of fruit jam like raspberry, strawberry preserves, and peach. The sippin' takes on darker fruit notes like blackberry, boysenberry, and plum, with a dash of white pepper, mocha, and vanilla finish.
Try it with our Shawarma Spiced Braised Leg of Lamb recipe.
