Wife and I are mostly pinot noir or merlot fans for reds. Cab is often too tannic, although I do like many. Being from Seattle area, this one interested us. Verdict: one of the best! Not too tannic and surprisingly smooth. Couldn’t make out all the flavors but well balanced. Highly recommended.

Did not enjoy this as much as the Chardonnay from the same winery. It was too acidic and the cinnamon flavor was a bit overwhelming.
Sara
musky; good for a dark & stormy evening

In 1976, Tom Hedges married Annie-Marie Liégeois in Champagne, France. Fast forward to 1989 and the young couple purchased fifty acres on Red Mountain in the Yakima Valley and planted Bordeaux varietals AKA Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. It turns out Washington State is the perfect place for a couple married in France to make their mark on the American wine scene.
You can kind of think of this Washington state blend of Cab, Syrah, and Merlot as America's version of a Bordeaux Rouge. This is the OG of Washington state blends and it continues to delight with each new vintage. Pop this bottle and the aromas of raspberry, blackberry, and cherry liquor immediately make their way to your nose. The sippin' brings in all that delightfully tart red fruit and adds a touch of vanilla, dark cocoa, and a subtle sprinkle of spice.
