Steven
Pretty good; starts off a little astringent, but greatly improves with aeration.
John
Smooth, a little dry, a little tannin... would purchase again
Emily
Not full enough for my taste

Love this very special Spanish red blend! The Merlot and Tempranillo give it a bit of depth and complexity, making it easy drinking yet also unusual if you are used to plain old Cab and the like from California. Nice tannins, plum and berry notes with a hint of leather and earth, smokiness from a touch of oak. Love this with pasta or savory meat dishes, where it can hold its own without overpowering the meal.
Anne
A bit on the dry side, still tasty.

NOTE: the grape mix in the description is incorrect, there is only 15% tempranillo. I love tempranillo but unfortunately I apparently HATE the other grape used because I thought this stuff was awful. Granted, it has a higher alcohol content and so maybe it would have been terrific if paired with the right dish (there are no recipe pairings suggested on the site currently, though) but as a sipping wine it was a no-go (and that's typically how I like my wines, sans food). Oh well, on to the next bottle...

3.5 stars nose=stone? floral palate=savory vs sweet, not super dry, med body, pepper

Really nice flavor. Buy again.

excellent! really enjoyed this
SARAH
This wine is super distinctive, but amazing. It's actually 85% Prieto Picudo and only 15% Tempranillo. It's earthy and woodsy. It tastes like very strongly brewed English breakfast tea with a little bite of black currant jam on burnt toast. 10/10 would have this aggressive tea party again

i like dark, complex wines and this one was very good. Smooth and easy to drink, not fruity.
Lynette
Nice balance.
A little too heavy
Janel
This had a bitterness to it that I did not like.
MaryGrace
Meh...
Michelle
Tart, wood, earthy, red fruit, dry and yummy!
Alexa
Spicy & dark. Better paired with food than to drink alone.
Nicole
