More about this wine from Ugarteche - Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina
From a 30-year-old family-owned Argentine winery rooted in three generations of Spanish farmers comes the Familia Blanco Winery. Their Mairena line of wines is meant to truly reflect the characteristics of each singular grape grown and nurtured in the sandy, rocky soils of their Luján de Cuyo vineyard, an outpost of the famous winemaking region of Ugarteche. This exuberant Bonarda, a France-in-origin grape that Argentina has fostered and reared into an outstanding (but less-known) wine, is from a 45+-year-old vineyard from which the best berries were sourced. A real gem of a wine that will be fun to spring on your friends and watch them as they try to guess the origin of this soft and delightful red.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

This wine pairs great with all sorts of Italian foods, so it’s perfect for a low-key get together with friends to have pasta or an easy-breezy pizza.
