Sarah
Not the best. Not as bad as the Nero d'avola but not good.
Laura
very nice!
Palmira
My first buy, an Italian 3 bottle special and I haven’t stopped!
James
Perfectly nice, could drink with anything, particularly suited to pasta and tomato sauce as just about every reviewer notes, but not exceptional or at all deep. In particular, not as good or as (mildly) complex as the same label's Nero d'Avola, which we drank a few nights before. Wouldn't ever turn it down -- but wouldn't go out of my way to get it.
Eric
Nice dry Montepulciano (despite the horrid label)
Hilary
I ordered this again.
Cheryl
Very nice. Enjoyed with early snack in the afternoon. Smooth.
Patricia
Dry but good.
Deborah
Not a bad bottle at all!
Patrick
Excellent Bottle of Wine!
Arron
Just the right layers of flavor, love this!
Kelsey
Full bodied, deep rich berry. Best with steak. Will buy again.
Cindy
Good Clings to mouth Had at Lauren dinner
Jessica
Love this. Bought a case!
Kathleen
super dry, not my fave of these italian reds
Lindsay
Bright fruit notes, slightly acidic
Krysta
You can't go wrong with Montepulciano; this one will leave you wanting more! Makes a handsome gift too.
Sheila
Pizza, pasta and yummy root vegetables
Monica
A great go-to Italian wine with the recognizable Montepulciano D'abruzzo flavor and aromas. Nice bodied, good tannin tartiness and lots of fruitiness.
Linda
Tasty, light tannins, fruity
Kayla
I had a feeling I was going to love this wine and I do! Glad I bought that second bottle. Will definitely purchase again!
Joanne
Thoroughly enjoyed
D
To be honest, this is the first Montepulciano I have ever bought for myself. Previously, I have just treated myself to bottles recommended in restaurants, and just squirreled this varietal away as exalted and special occasion. I still think of this as a treat wine, but no longer reserved for special occasions. Intense and complex and makes me feel like a broody noir starlet. Can't wait to have this again!
Good all-around red wine
Pamela
This wine is all about Italian wines. Paired it with homemade pasta puttanesca and the folks couldn’t get enough.
nina
Great, wonderful and wish I had a 2nd bottle. I really enjoyed this one. So did my daughter.
Martha
Not my favorite. Very strong cherry flavor, almost medicinal.
Sara
Sweet with a somehow bitter finish. Not our favorite. However, note this was our first time trying a Montepulciano.
Heidi
This was very pleasant. I didn't get the floral notes that the bottle mentions (yum, violets?!) but nevertheless this was a good wine to sip while relaxing after dinner.
Robin
Super smooth
Elizabeth
This wine is SO GOOD! From the first sip to the last, I will be repurchasing!
Amanda
Did not care for it. Too sweet.
Wendy
A good red but not a standout
Nicole
I didn’t think I liked Montepulcuano, but I loved this and did some research to discover what I’d had in the past was from the region Montepulciano but was not the varietal. Who knew?! Turns out I really like Montepulciano D’Abruzzo!
Claire
Good!
Kani
Great labels rarely translate into great cheap wine. This is a clear exception. Really succulent wine
Not my favorite
Judith
Really nice, smooth but biting
Jason
Very strange smell. Bitter, a little tart.
Loved this.
Sherrylynn
Purchased 2nd case!
Jack
Loved
Sour. Was it bandaged?
Hiromi
This was a perfectly nice wine, but for having an OTT description, I found it pretty forgettable
Haley
3.5, very dry, a smidge of sour finish. Not bad, but not very exciting. Very high quality and sophisticated. I'd serve it to those who appreciate good red wines.
Margaret
It was ok, but will not order again.
John
It’s good. Not sure I would get again though
Alexandra
Lovely go with any thing dinner wine
Cathy
perfect with pasta
Xmas - Karla & Matteo - only ok
Good Italian at a good price. Pairs with pasta and red sauce well
Art
Nice! Tasty
Kelli
Really great tasting pasta night
Phyllis
Smooth to drink/light/thin, full bodied, moderate legs, 4-5 stars
Christine
Rich without being overbearing
We enjoyed this one. Had a nice body to it, just for a bit more of the described notes to come through. Overall we had a nice experience with this one.
Easy to drink
Holly
Good be but less smooth than the Marques Du Butrago
Scott
bold wine with good dark fruit flavors
mike
Hated it
Summer
Dry, refreshing
Light bodied, dry but opens up
Juliette
Alicia’s favorite of the box!
David
Good with pasta dishes
Andie
i didn't receive this wine, i received the 2020 Castillo de Logroño Rioja Graciano...mostly savory, slightly sweet, fairly non-descript, but decent
Brooke
Was ok
Jammy
Oswaldo
Yum!
Very balanced wine. Not too strong not too fruity. Very drinkable. Really enjoying it. Seems like its a very versatile wine.
Tom
Enjoyed!
Amerson
Good basic red wine
Melinda
Like OK
BREANNA
super easy to drink
Heavy but I like it!
Valerie
Super drinkable
decent red! pleasant juicy flavor, not super strong in any direction. went well with the ham and cheese sandys :)
I don't drink much from Argentina, so I was pleasantly surprised at the drinkability of this wine. I wish I could identify the fruit and smell the aroma of flowers in wines, but that happens almost never for me. What I can do is appreciate low tannins, mouth feel, softness or richness and general flavor. This a lovely wine, not too light but not heavy, with good balance and a wine I would especially love to drink with friends, one which wouldn't overwhelm any dish if served at dinner.
Eliezer
Tastes like dried cherries
Light and fruity
Erin
All the wines by this company are lit
Full bodied and delicious!
Abbey
solid wine but best with food. Bar b que
Nice Tempranillo... light and fruity, not too acidic.
Bruce
Long drawn out flavor. Strong
Good solid red
Another good Tempranillo! A great summer red--very smooth, not too bold or acidic for sipping with some cheese and salami during happy hour.
Good
Really enjoyed this wine.
Jenna
Very nice lightish red wine that would go with fish
Not a heavy, earthy or flavorful cab -- but a very enjoyable medium-bodied wine. I'd expect more at a restaurant or from an expensive bottle, but went nicely with steak and/or sipping on its own. Fruit with strong hits of pepper, but very drinkable.
Good sippable cab. Pretty good easier to drink
Vincent
Nice bouquet, big flavor, a touch acidic. First bottle tried. Consider raising rating depending on how subsequent bottles go.
Dan
This tasted like a cheap wine. I brought to a dinner party and was mortified. I tried another bottle last night and still, it wasn't very good.
enjoyed this a lot, super warm juicy vibes, and kept well for future drinking.
was more like a pinot; light for cab and a little bland
Adam
Nice typical cab
3+ stars nose=blackberry, alcohol bite at first opening palate=some acid, cherry, savory vs sweet medium body
I didn't care for this one, like merlot version much better
very dry, dried fruit, very good!
Good solid cab
medium bodied - good - funny aftertaste
Stephanie
Earthy. More French cab than Cali cab.
Joon
not a big fan
Liliana
Just okay. Not work the money.
More dry, not too oaky, smooth
Fruity, especially cherries
Nice cab with nice body and nose.
Narciso
The body was a bit lighter than I typically like in a Cabernet, but the nose and flavor profile were both pretty good, and it paired well with burgers on warm night.
I love a good cab.
Dale
Tangy Cab. Very nice.
Steven
A nice red. I would purchase again.
loved it
Nice Blend of 2 of my favorite wines.
Betsy
solid red, a little spicy/tingly vibe. also good cold.
This was tasty but a bit too dry.
Marsula
Love this one! Just tried it today - great finish!
Donna
wanted to love, but didn't
This one has a really lovely mouth-feel-- almost velvety. It's a well blended and balanced medium-full wine, definitely NOT overly fruity. This one is really satisfying to sip on
Love!
Delicious!
Give as a gift to wine lovers. It was a big hit
Excellent Cotes du Rhone. Love it.
A good dry red. Nice fruity back taste. Smooth to drink. I would buy this again.
The description of this one is pretty accurate
Great CDR for the price
This is horrible. Tastes like vinegar. Don't purchase this again.
Practically tastes like cherry juice. Extremely pleasant. Not complex, just straightforward, hit-you-in-the-face fruit -- but in a *good* way. Great with tomato sauce; probably wouldn't trot out opposite steak.
Great unwinding wine.
Jammy, full bodied, smooth
Fruity, Smooth and easy-drinking. One of my favorites.
Debra
Peppery, not my favorite red but not bad
Nikki
A special grape and my daily wine!
Michael
Disappointing. Lacks depth and complexity. Save your money for a better wine.
So easy to drink. Fruity.
nice round wine. lacks depth a little
Lukas
A little dry but great taste.
An explosion of tasty berries. I have really enjoyed this wine and getting ready to order more
Jeff
Seemed syrupy. Not the favorite of the Italian painting bottles, but need to try again. Got a second bottle and enjoyed it. Not syrupy. Better than what I remember from the first bottle.
Kristin
Overall a good wine!
One of my favorite ones. Lasting taste but not harsh. Good will all type of food. I am not one that follows red with red meat and so on. I had this with fist and it was great. So did our guest like it. Sorry it took so long to write something.
Smooth.
Antonio
Favorite Red from order Sweeter than similar red Smooth
Very berry forward but a very light easy drinker. What a great wine to start my membership with.
christine
very well balanced supple with lots of fruit forward. a very nice bottle
john
I really enjoy the nero grape. This one has some sweetness but isn't too sweet. Has good flavor range to it. It's an enjoyable drinking wine.
Katherine
Smooth & drinkable, but nothing too special
Nevada
Cherry forward with great fruity flavor
Heather
One of our favorites.
Loved the fuller body and jammy notes on this one!
Jonathan
More middle ground than dry, but the sweetness isn't bad. Definitely enjoyable.
Emily
This was the first bottle we opened from a 12-bottle case and it really set a great tone for the rest of the case. We are generally fans of Italian reds. This one was very approachable--smooth, fruity, and so easy to drink. It's a weekday wine for sure.
better the 2nd day
Kimberly
Didn't love this as much as I thought I would.
Marisa
Not bad, but not a lot of depth of flavor
Kristen
Favorite wine from WA so far. Smooth with just enough fruit and pairs very well with pasta - we paired with pasta carbonara and the next night with lasagna.
Very very cherry.
Decent, mostly smooth and fruit forward but tasted pretty generic
Morgan
Smooth, smooth, smooth!
Definitely a winner. Dry, fruity and tart. Perfect with dinner or cheese and antipasti.
Liked it a lot also!
easy to drink, very fruity which I typically do not enjoy but it was good
3.5 good drinkable red
Rick enjoyed more than I did.
This wine was light in a really enjoyable way! It had a dry fruity crispness to it I hadn’t really encountered with a red before and I really liked that. Sort of like the sensation of a green apple. Would buy again
Devon
like ok
Expectations were low given how new the wine is, so we opened it as the second bottle on a Friday and it was far superior to the first bottle. Very fruit forward, which is usually not my favorite. But mellow and smooth. Easy drinking and just enjoyable. A nice wine.
Fruity and light - easy to drink, delicious with a light seafood pasta
Amy
Not my favorite, aggressively fruity
Very dry with definite cherry notes. I liked it but didn’t love it. Great aroma but actual flavor lacked compared to the nose.
Rachel
Nero D’Avola is generally one of my favorite wines. This was good, but not on par with some of my very favorites.
Very good. Drinkable. Oops, the whole bottle is gone kind of subtle goodness
Delicious! Fruity and not too sweet.
Carol
Berries, cherries, sweet, a little tartness. Really not try at all
All sorts of Italian winter loveliness in this
I was looking to try a Nero D’Avola this month and was excited to find one in my box! I really enjoyed this—well-balanced and fruit forward. A light, every day wine, it paired well with bacon burgers.
Really liked this one. Smooth
Beth
A bright and enjoyable red that was excellent with blistered tomato ricotta toasts
Not complex but delicious, easy-drinking; lighter in body than other NDA from Sicily
comforting, dependably tasty. Good for every occasion.
