Best red wine I’ve had in a while
Jennifer
A pleasant Bordeaux, a very good table wine.
Peter
Nice. Crisp.
Joselyn
A staple in my house. Classic French
Jeff
Typical simple Bordeaux but very pleasant on the nose and palate. Reminded me of the type of table wine you'd get throughout France...perfect picnic wine and/or pasta with a simple sauce, or steak and frites type of wine.
Michael
it was okay, lacked in flavor
Elizabeth
A serg classic
Nicolle
A very good Bordeaux!
Arron
Very classic Bordeaux! Buy it and save it a couple years! This one will be great!
Carey
had at lakehouse with chicken parm. easy drink.
Reiss
Enjoyed it.
Kani
Wonderful good for stews, .
Phyllis
surprised how yummy this is! Rich, smooth & full of body
Dawn
Medium and tasty-both like, not sweet, low tannins
Steven
One of my favorites from WA. So lovely, elegant but holds up to flavorful foods.
Excellent full bodied wine that pairs well with meats, sauces and fine dining. Excellent value for the price. A+
Mairead
delicious i love this red with my pasta dishes
william
Disappointing for a Bordeaux. No power. No tannin. No oaky flavor.
Jessica
3 bottles poured down the drain. Lighter fluid likely tastes better
Sherrylynn
Great flavor and enjoyed it with a solid charcuterie tray.
D
Easy drinking Bordeaux blend. A good wine for sipping. A little mellow to stand up to most food.
helen
Absolutely enjoyable! Sipped while cooking which was easy to enjoy. But served with the spaghetti and turkey meatballs..... just amazing. We'll rounded, but bold enough to stand up to the robust sauce. A perfect compliment!
Margaret
Very good!
Alexandra
Yeasty. Drinkable, reminds me of France. Better than expected
Nichole
Prototypical table red. Would not have guessed it was primarily merlot.
Daniel
I am not a huge Bordeaux fan but this was delightful, very fragrant and smooth, easy to drink.
Eleni
One of my all time favorite reds. 10/10 would recommend!
Amanda
Decent red. Good every day drinking wine
Maya
Wine was average for a Bordeaux and would not pay $17 for this wine. Tastes similar to one I bought at Costco for $7. Tasted better after it was open for 24-48 hours.
Jeremy
Easy drinking. Nice medium bodied red.
Jody
Very dry
Mary
kind of generic
Sara
Smooth and tasty, full bodied, good with food, a worthwhile Bordeaux that stands out.
David
Very nice, dry, in a french way.
Jason
Smooth and easy to drink. A bit smokey at the end, but not heavy. Interesting blend. Would buy again.
Lynette
Very nice.
Devon
This was fine. It was a bit jammy and not my favorite.
Mercury
if you get heartburn, avoid this wine! otherwise a generic red, strong on day 1 and more mild day 2/3
Solid big bold Bordeaux. Nothing super wild or crazy. Just consistent but super bold and heavy. Not an easy drinker.
Kevin
Had this after another Bordeaux and it did not measure up. Thin, with only mild flavor and a hint of bitterness. I love most wines from WA but this is one of the rare bottles that just did not do it for me.
this was a dry red. not one of my fav.
stephanie
Excellent low cost Red Blend
Richard
hmm, had 2 bottles & they were very different...1st was 2-2.5 stars, too much alcohol bite, really nothing enjoyable or notable on the palate (bad bottle??); 2nd bottle was much better & smoother, low acid, more like 3.5 stars, medium bodied
Brooke
Day 1: So so. Day 2: Really meh. Day 3: Awesome!
Interesting wine with smoky earthy notes. Traditional at the front smoky at the finish. Fairly mellow and good with food
Rebecca
Sometimes in life, we just want the classics. Whether it's binge-watching Friends on Friday night with some damn good comfort food in front of us or jamming to the Beatles and Rolling Stones instead of today's top 40 tunes, we lean on the goodness of the familiar. For wine, Bordeaux may not always be the most innovative, but it is the quintessential wine region and we keep coming back for more and more of its wines.
The team behind Bois De La Croix has access to vineyards and grapes that make classic Bordeaux i.e. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. Access to the best grapes is what makes this Bordeaux red blend so damn yummy. The nose is dominated by black fruit like currants and blackberries, but with just a touch of cherries. The sippin' is medium-bodied as the dark fruit lingers on the cheeks and fades with a lingering freshness.
Try it with our Rigatoni with Easy Vodka Sauce recipe.
